Blue Whale Theatre was established by actor and theatre in education specialist Therase Neve, to provide exciting and engaging dramatic experiences for children in Early Years and Primary schools. Therase graduated from Bretton Hall - University of Leeds UK with a 1:1 BA (hons with distinction) in Theatre Acting - with a specialism in education arts.
Therase’s professional work as an actor includes a vast amount of professional theatre roles spanning 10 years, television (for BBC), two independent feature films, film shorts and BBC radio broadcasted play in the UK. Theatre productions for; Northern Stage UK, Company of Angels, Customs House Theatre UK, Edinburgh Festival at St Stephens 2010, (winner of prestigious Herald Angels Award at Edinburgh festival 2010 for 'APPLES') for Open Clasp Theatre UK, Bard on the Beach Shakespeare season Sydney and Sydney fringe productions. For television; Inspector George Gently (As Amelia Nugent in Gently Upside Down, for BBC television), The BBC Review show, as ‘Eve’ in 'APPLES' (highlights of the Edinburgh Fringe 2010) and Wowcher Television commercial (as IPL girl - aired 2012). Feature films include; In Our Name (BBC films - In our Name -Winner of British Independent Film Award 2010) and The Stagg Do (premier UK. June 2014). For radio; lead role in Take me to Redcar, (for BBC RADIO 4 Afternoon play).

Before starting Blue Whale Theatre Therase had collaborated with and performed for many high profile Theatre in Education companies in the UK, Europe and Australia.
Theatre in Education companies Therase has been contracted to work for include; Brief Candle Theatre UK, Quantum Theatre for Science London, Enact Solutions UK, Upside Out Theatre Co UK, Moveable Feast Productions UK, Impact on learning UK , IPA (INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS) in Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Pamplona, Zaragossa, Seville and other mainland SPAIN.
Therase’s theatrical training, experience as an actor and passion for Theatre in Education, has led her to produce her own relevant and exciting shows for Blue Whale Theatre.
Therase writes, produces and develops all Blue Whale Theatre shows and when possible she also performs in some of the shows.
All Blue Whale Theatre Actors are super talented exceptional degree qualified performers who are required to pass a rigorous audition and reference check before working with us. All Actors have previous experience in Children’s theatre and working with children in an education/entertainment environment. All Actors contracted by Blue Whale Theatre have NSW Working with children Checks and their own Public Liability insurance.
